The Plum Creek Railroad is an HO scale 11' x 12' "L" shape layout with a 2.8 scale mile single track mainline from North Bessemer to Saltsburg and a branch line from Delmont to Murrysville. It's a mock short line railroad set in 1968, that interchanges with the PRR, B&LE, URR & TCR. Scenery is about 60% complete, with monthly operations for 3 to 6 operators.

Like other NMRA Mid Central Region Division 2 and Division 11 Layouts ,operations are the life blood of the hobby. Pittsburgh is an area with an abundance of rail fanning , with a never ending supply of inspiration.

A short layout tour shows some of the construction started in November 2002. In June 2004, the last piece of track was placed and work was started on the scenery. A track map shows the layout of the track and industries along the PCR route.

There's a group of model railroaders from Waynesboro, PA, the Quincy Village Model Railroad Club is a must see.
